Family-owned since 2008, A1 Remodeling has grown into one of Southern California's most trusted design-build firms—one home at a time.
The Founders
A studio built on the workbench.
Brothers Danny and Ari Hakimian grew up in their father's cabinet shop in the Valley. In 2008, they turned that shop into A1 Remodeling with a simple idea: bring the discipline of custom furniture to whole homes.
Today the studio is 32 people strong—designers, project managers, master carpenters, and finish specialists—working out of Encino and Irvine. The two of them still walk every project.

A1 Remodeling founded in Encino by Danny and Ari Hakimian.
- 2013
Opened Orange County studio; first custom ADU delivered.
- 2018
Houzz 'Best of Design' — first of eight consecutive awards.
- 2022
500th project completed; expanded to Inland Empire.
- 2025
850+ projects. Named a Top 100 U.S. Remodeler by Qualified Remodeler.
